Distributionen
SuSE 9.1 64Bit AMD64
- Das im moment wohl beste reine 64-Bit-System
- Leider die halt so ueblichen SuSE-Probleme...
- Das Modul fuer die Soundkarte muss von Hand geladen werden
- Die "Erkennung" der Sound-Hardware per aRTs funktioniert
nicht, man muss von Hand auf ALSA oder OSS umstellen
- In die XF86Config werden zwei Modelines fuer die 1400er Aufloesung
geschrieben. Die Modeline mit der hoeheren Pixelfrequenz sollte
man entfernen, da sonst der Bildschirm ab und an flackert
- Das Brennen von DVDs ist erst moeglich, wenn man als root das
DVD-Laufwerk unmountet (automatische Erkennung, ob eine CD/DVD
im Laufwerk liegt
Debian Testing, 32Bit-Kernel
- Installation mit Debian Installer Beta 4 laeuft problemlos
- Die nVidia-32Bit-Treiber laufen
NICHT, sie lassen den Rechner komplett einfrieren
Debian 3.0 "Woody" mit AMD64-Packages
- Installation laeuft problemlos
- Nachinstallation von externen Treibern (ndiswrapper, madwifi, nVidia) funktioniert nicht
Gentoo 2004.1 AMD64
- Die Live-CD fuer AMD64 laeuft gut, die Hardware wird unterstuetzt
- Beim Kompilieren des mitgelieferten "verbesserten"
64Bit-Kernels bricht der Compiler ab.
- Installation durch Kernel-Problem bisher nicht beendet
